What is a live face swap?
A live face swap replaces your face on a camera feed in real time while you move and talk, instead of editing a photo or video file afterwards. Live Face Swap does it with a cloud AI model, so it works on ordinary laptops and Macs.
Do I need a powerful GPU or local AI models?
No. The AI runs in the cloud. You need a camera, a stable internet connection and a current browser, or the desktop app on Windows 11 or an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 13 or later.
Should I use the browser or the desktop app?
Use the browser to try the effect without installing anything. Use the desktop app when you want the live AI output in OBS, Zoom, Teams, Discord or other apps through LiveFaceSwap Camera.
How are credits used?
Every live mode uses 3.6 credits per second, and only while the AI output is running. Opening the camera, choosing a photo and connecting are free. The same balance works in the browser and in the desktop app.
Is my camera feed recorded?
No. During a session your camera stream goes to the AI model provider over an encrypted connection. Live Face Swap does not record, save or share it, and the browser workspace has no recording or download feature.
What reference photo works best?
One sharp, front-facing portrait with the eyes, mouth and face outline visible and even lighting. Avoid group photos, sunglasses, heavy filters or hands over the face.
Whose face can I use?
Your own face or a portrait of someone who has given you permission. Do not impersonate real people, deceive anyone or create sexual content, and tell viewers when they are watching an AI-altered video.
How do I pay?
Credits are sold in one-time packs paid with cryptocurrency. There is no subscription or automatic renewal, and purchased credits never expire.
